UWI-ALJGSB wins 1st place in Teaching and Learning Quality at ACTT Awards
The UWI-Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business, an ACTT-accredited institution, was recognized for their quality of teaching and learning as they were able to secure 1st Place for Teaching and Learning at the Quality in Tertiary Education (QuiTE) Awards Ceremony of the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT) on Tuesday 31st October 2017.
The Business School won the category, competing among several other tertiary level institutions and also walked away with an Honorable Mention Award for Excellence in an established Quality Management System.
These ACTT awards are granted to institutions who demonstrate excellence in the teaching and delivery and quality management systems in their respective schools. The UWI-ALJGSB in its continuous pursuit of quality tertiary education assiduously follows the Authentic Teaching and Learning model, ensuring that its Faculty is of the highest caliber and bring international experience and knowledge into the classroom. Teaching methods incorporate a high degree of practicality and innovation, using role-play, case studies, group work, presentations and company interventions in all of its programmes.
A further stamp of quality for the UWI-ALJGSB is its accreditation for several of its programmes from the Association of MBA’s in the UK, the global gold standard for business schools. The School adopts global benchmarks from its accrediting bodies and ensures these are met and exceeded as it responds to environmental demands.
